Qatar Airways Qsuite Business Class Review: Doha to Montreal

If you’ve been researching the best business class in the world, chances are you’ve heard of Qatar Airways’ Qsuite. This year, I finally had the chance to experience it for myself, flying from Doha to Montreal aboard their Boeing 777-300ER.

Each seat is a fully enclosed private suite with a sliding door, giving you complete control over your space. Whether you want to work, sleep, or just enjoy the journey, the privacy is unmatched. I didn’t feel disturbed at any point during the 13-hour flight.

Qsuite Features

Here are some of the standout Qatar Airways Business Class amenities that made the journey exceptional:

  • Private sliding door for maximum privacy.

  • Fully flat bed with plush bedding for a comfortable sleep on long-haul flights.

  • Power port, USB, and HDMI connections for staying charged and connected.

  • Large HD entertainment screen with hundreds of movies, TV shows, and music options.

  • Gourmet dining service served restaurant-style with elegant table settings.

Upon boarding, we were welcomed with a choice of refreshing beverages and traditional Arabic coffee served alongside a date. I opted for Qatar Airways’ signature lemon and mint drink, which was very refreshing.

Each seat came with a curated amenity kit featuring Diptyque products. My husband received the sleek black edition, while I was given the white version.

Passengers are also provided with soft pajamas, a plush blanket, high-quality noise-canceling headphones, and slippers to enhance in-flight comfort.

Dining Experience

The menu is conveniently available on the Qatar Airways app ahead of your flight, so I took the opportunity to browse through it before boarding. Since this was a morning departure, we started with breakfast. Shortly after settling in, the flight attendant came by to take our meal selections before takeoff.

For my breakfast, I chose:

  • Greek yogurt with spiced plum and toasted granola
  • Seasonal fresh fruit
  • Traditional Arabic breakfast with pita

Shortly after the first meal, the cabin lights were dimmed. I wasn’t feeling tired, so I decided to explore the in-flight entertainment. Qatar Airways offers a wide selection of movies and shows — even in multiple languages — but on that particular day, I struggled to find something that caught my interest.

A little while later, I began to feel hungry, so I asked the flight attendant what snacks were available. She mentioned they only had chips and drinks, so I opted for beetroot chips paired with a cup of hot chocolate

I was still hungry, so I inquired about afternoon tea. Initially, I was told it wasn’t available, but when I asked if there was anything else, the flight attendant checked again and confirmed they could serve it after all. I’m so glad they did — it featured a delightful selection of sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, and pastries. Everything was absolutely delicious, and I enjoyed every bite.

The final meal before landing was lunch, and I opted for the braised beef short ribs served with cauliflower purée, sautéed baby spinach, and potato galette. The short ribs were tender and packed with flavor — it truly felt like dining in a fine restaurant rather than on an airplane.

Overall Verdict

I loved that Qsuite provides a truly private space for each passenger — I didn’t feel disturbed at any point during the flight. The food quality far exceeded my expectations. However, I was slightly disappointed when I was initially told that only chips and drinks were available as snacks. I had been under the impression that I could order from the menu at any time during the flight, which is especially important for someone like me who stayed awake for most of the flight. In the end, though, it worked out, and I was delighted when they were able to offer the afternoon tea service after all.

Would I fly Qsuite again? Absolutely. I managed to rest well throughout the long flight and stay connected with their fast, reliable high-speed internet powered by Starlink, offering speeds of up to 500 Mbps per aircraft.

If you’re planning a Qatar Airways Business Class flight from Doha — whether to Montreal or any other destination — Qsuite is without a doubt one of the best ways to travel in comfort.
